123rd Annual Meeting

Cleveland, 17–20 March 2027

At the Hotel Cleveland, Autograph Collection, at the invitation of Case Western Reserve University. Proposals on any aspect of the ancient Mediterranean world are welcome, from K–12, college and university teachers, independent scholars, and graduate and undergraduate students.

Design note: Status is computed from the date, so a closed call stops inviting submissions on its own. Today the closed calls stay on the page until someone edits it.

Submitting a proposal

  • You must be a member for 2026–27 when you submit. The form checks this for you.
  • One individual abstract per person, and one paper or poster delivered. You may also organise one panel, workshop or round table.
  • Abstracts are judged anonymously by the Program Committee: no name or affiliation anywhere in the text.
  • Say whether you need a projector or sound when you submit.

Submit a poster abstract

Session types

Individual paper
15 minutes.
Panel
A presider and three to six papers, no longer than 90 minutes.
Workshop
A presider and at least one presenter, about an hour, with activities for the audience.
Round table
One discussion leader, or two.
Poster
Undergraduates only, following the poster guidelines.

Registration

Everyone whose submission is accepted is expected to register by 19 January 2027; registration costs more after that date. Submitting an abstract is a commitment to present in person in Cleveland.
