For teachers
Teaching Latin and Greek
K–12 teachers have been part of CAMWS from the start. The Committee for the Promotion of Latin and Greek (CPLG) funds activities in schools, helps programmes in crisis, and keeps the conversation going at the Annual Meeting.
Fund an activity
CPLG Promotional Activity Grants, the Caristia and Bridge Initiative Grants (applications any time), and the Keely Lake Travel Grant for school groups.
Train and travel
The Teacher Training Initiative, Manson A. Stewart Teacher Training and Travel Awards, and the New Teacher Awards.
A programme in crisis?
If a Latin, Greek or Classics programme is under threat, CPLG can help. Write to the chair at cplg@camws.org.
Teaching Classical Languages
CAMWS's peer-reviewed online journal on how we teach, and how we learn, Greek and Latin.
Recognition
Teaching Awards for school and college teachers (nominations by 15 November), and the John Breuker Jr. Award for Exceptional Promise in Latin Teaching.
